VideoFredo, a learning platform and video editing tool by Deeluitgeverij and Qonqord, aims to support editorial teams in taking their first steps in video production.
But how do you explain something clearly and accessibly to people who aren't used to working with video?
Docwerkers was brought in to create an educational video series that demystifies the technology — and inspires users to get started themselves.
Approach
Step by step
We developed seven tutorials guiding users through the entire production process: from idea to finished video. Each episode focuses on one step, explained with real-life examples and practical tips.
The series is hosted by Layla El-Dekmak (podcaster and journalist) and Lieven De Hertogh (videographer and trainer). Two experienced creators with a talent for teaching — not dry instruction, but real people sharing their know-how.

As a narrative thread, we built the tutorials around a fictional report on taxidermy.
This gives each technical explanation a relatable context — and keeps viewers engaged all the way through to the final episode.
The setting and visual style were custom-designed to match the VideoFredo branding. Everything is aligned with the platform so the videos feel not only useful but also familiar and trustworthy.
